Epilogue by Ray

There ah... there are a few things I find funny in life., you know...
Like quicksand... or ah... or paparazzi. I mean that’s just the legal terms for stalkers right ? What kind of word is paparazzi anyways ?
I find it funny how people eat blood pudding, and blue cheese...I just don’t get why you would eat that..
Another thing I find funny is how easy it is to let go of a dream... or anything that seems hard to reach. Most of us give up before we even try. I guess it’s easier to let go...
But on the other hand... on the other hand it’s funny how we can’t let go of the things we don’t want. What we didn’t ask for, our past and the things that hurt us. It’s hard to give up drinking or drugs, or anything that amounts to pain in one way or another.
Now that’s not funny at all..... is it ?
How most of us spend our entire lives learning how to let go... while in doing that, we forget how to hold on. Hold on to faith... in ourselves, in humanity, in this beautiful world we take for granted. We’re not holding on to this world... we are letting it go. We are giving up on it. If we held on to love as appose to hate... if we held on to anything really.... weather it’s a person, a place, a belief, a dream, a thread.... Dammit just hold on to something... Anything.
If we don’t, then what will become of us ? Of our children, and their
children ? Who’s gonna hold them ?
How will they know that love is what brought them into this world ? How will they know that we built this life on dreams in the first place. How will they know that their main purpose for being here is to evolve... not in technology or war but as a human being... we are all human beings. How will they know that the heart is not only a mechanism that allows your blood to flow but it’s the
greatest gift known to man.
The gift of love. A gift everyone either takes for granted or shuts off in order to feel num... In order to let go...
Well mine’s on. And I’m not letting go.... I’m holding on.
So here’s to love... and hope... and faith. Here’s to letting go of all the pain and suffering and holding on to dear life. Our lives. This life. Here’s to possibilities and dreams, whatever they may be.
Here’s to humanity. To us.... to you and me.
Here’s to freedom...
And most of all... here’s to what we all become.
